About 925 silver. Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver, the highest standard in common international use. Because of that silver content it darkens naturally over time through wear, air, perspiration and skincare, which is normal. It is relatively low-allergy and suits sensitive skin. Silver is softer than most metals, so avoid knocking it against hard surfaces, and regular care keeps its shine.
