Description

The name Petra comes from the Greek word for rock. Reddish brown sandstone mountains, stone in many colors and twisting layers, spirals and wave shaped curves, so that the old city of Petra looks like a desert rose blooming on the rock. It was a key stop on the Silk Road and an important hub for carrying spices. Home was a tent and the camel was the way to travel. What looks to us like burning heat and hardship was their steady way of life for hundreds of years. Even as each day repeats, it still feels like the first time. Inspired by Petra.

About the crystals. Every MenWen piece is built around natural stones, chosen for their color and character and set by hand in Taiwan. We treat crystals less as talismans and more as material for wearable art, so each piece is a small design object you can carry with you.

Materials. Sun Stone, Persian Agate, Quartz. Set in brass.

Sizing. Bead sizes run roughly 4mm to 6mm. The chain measures about 40cm excluding the extender, with an extender of about 5cm. Measurements may vary slightly between batches.

Shipping. Orders usually ship 1 to 3 days after purchase, excluding national holidays. During promotions, dispatch may take a little longer.
